SAT Program

What is SAT?

The SAT, a standardized test widely utilized for college admissions in the United States, has undergone several name changes and scoring modifications since its inception in 1926. Originally known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test, it later evolved into the Scholastic Assessment Test, then the SAT I: Reasoning Test, followed by the SAT Reasoning Test, and finally, it became simply the SAT.

Owned, developed, and published by the College Board in the United States, the SAT is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) on behalf of the College Board. While ETS was historically responsible for developing the SAT, recent adjustments have been made to align the test more closely with high school curricula. This shift reflects College Board 's aim to have the SAT better mirror what students learn in high school, particularly with the integration of the new Common Core standards.

To register for SAT tests, individuals must directly book through the SAT website. This process ensures efficient access to test dates, locations, and other pertinent details necessary for participation.
