Computer Programming PYTHON
Design on Inventor and Solidworks, build robot using
3D printed components, program using Python
You start with an industry standard 3D Computer Aided
Design (CAD) tool to draft, design, model and visualize
your project (an interactive object). Then you use Raspberry
Pi which is a series of credit card-sized single-board
computers. All Raspberri Pi feature a Broadcom system
on a chip, which includes an ARM compatible CPU and an
on chip graphics processing unit GPU (a VideoCore IV).
to power your robot with sensors to react to its environment
and actuators to act upon it.
You explore the foundations of object-oriented Programming
PYTHON through the development environment and Python
programming language and write the rules that make all
the decisions for your robot. Once you are done with
all of the above, you will sense the power of code, not
just inside the computer screen, but in the real world
around you.
At the end of the camp, you will make a video presentation
of your project for the world to see. You are also automatically
entered into the TED Expo with the chance to personally
showcase your project. You also have the option to buy
back your Robot programmed with PYTHON to carry
home so you can use it again and again to build new things.
• This camp is most suitable for age 13+ innovators
and wizards interested in science & technology, machines & engineering,
construction and presentation.
• No prior programming or robotics experience is
necessary, construction experience is helpful.
• Apart from the core program, the camp day plan
is well rounded and includes several warm up activities,
energizers, team building opportunities and creativity
contests to make friends and win cool prizes.
• 6 to 12 participants per camp.
