Solar Robotics
Love the Sun? How about a robot that comes alive when you bring it closer to a window or shine a desk lamp on it?
In this camp you design solar powered electrical robots that perform complex and useful tasks. What kind of circuit is suitable for your project? How to power the motor? How to conserve energy? What kind of digital electronics to choose? These are some of the cool questions you will answers for while working on your individual project.
Learn about the fundamentals of design and electrical engineering by exploring the power of process using the seven step V2V system. You will work with engineering tools and study amplifiers, switches, resistors, voltage dividers, motors, circuits and circuit boards. You will get to create your designs digitally and experiment with engineering drawing (isometric & orthographic) using 3D modelling software.
At the end of the camp you get to make a video presentation of your project for the world to see and second, take your completed project home with you! You will have a chance to enter the competitive segment of the DesignThink Expo 2014 with the chance to personally show case your project to a wider audience.
